At the age of nine, Patrick was told he would never walk again because of a degenerative hip disease that confined him to leg braces and crutches for over a year. After being labeled a cripple, and a being in a body cast, multiple surgeries, and 3 years of pain, he finally took the first step into his destiny. Patrick became a 3 sport athlete, captain of his teams, and eventually became an operator of the world's most elite fighting force, in the Navy SEALs. He was on SEAL Team 3 and Team 7, served in the Middle East, and was the only linguist in his platoon involved with key leader engagements for human assets. After that, Bisher became a certified BUDs instructor for SEAL training and the Advanced Training Command (ATC) on the West coast. He was additionally recognized as the number one rated SEAL Mentor in the Naval Special Warfare training pipeline. Continuing to mature, Patrick obtained his Doctorate in Servant Leadership. Dr. Bisher now runs his full scale mentoring program, GRIT Academy, to the world's top leaders in their field. By never being 100% of who he used to be, he found a way to improve just 1% better every day, and developed the 1% Mentality!

In his recent book, No Surrender: Faith, Family, and Finding Your Way, Patrick shares lessons he's learned from a lifetime of physical and emotional pain, and how to find a path through each adversity as a stepping stone to improve your life, even if it's just one step forward. From being branded a “cripple” to successfully negotiating BUD/S (Basic Underwater Demolition/SEALS) training, from agonizing pain to heroic achievement, from devastating loss to finding his faith, Patrick’s story is one of discovering ways to do everything he possibly can, instead of making excuses for what he can’t. An American hero who never surrendered is now sharing his lessons with those fighting their own battles to emerge from their dark places into the light and lead a better, more productive life.
